Method Detail

Internet communication equipment

Since my itinerary is limited, I try to think locally and choose my actions rather than relying on online information to increase efficiency.

Information on the internet is not reliable. That’s because myself didn’t write it. If you’re going to the trouble of going, I think it’s better to check it out on the spot and develop a sense of how to behave.

The most difficult thing may be communicating with the local people. If you are not fluent in a language, or if the major language is not spoken locally, you may not have many ways to communicate. But it’s also a journey. If you convey your message in your own words and with your own intentions, you may be surprised at how well it gets across.

Credit Card

Credit cards and cash cards are very convenient. However, it is currently not available in some countries. In that case, cash will be required.

From another point of view, it is dangerous to try to complete a trip with just one card. You need to think about what to do if you lose it.

In addition to these, I would like to think about other ways to enjoy the trip. One way We do that is by looking at ways to become more price sensitive. In that case, look at the price list and pay in cash to improve your taste.

However, the world is becoming more and more innovative. In Egypt, it is now mandatory to purchase tickets to tourist attractions with a credit card. It’s a good idea to check if the place you want to go to requires a credit card.

Tour Package

A package tour is a tour that includes air tickets and a hotel. In New Zealand I had transportation to our hotel , in India I had a local guide.

What I learned here is that if you do your own research and take action, every action you take can be a learning experience. It also includes methods of transportation. Also, if you have a local guide, it is often not possible to do what you want..

From now on, I will basically only book flights and not book accommodation. I try to do my own research and choose my own actions. The important thing is not to be afraid of mistakes and detours. There is no right answer when it comes to traveling, so it’s more fun to find your own way.

You can find what suits you by searching Skyscanner for flight tickets and Booking.com for accommodation. Since I started researching things myself, I tend to focus more on cheapness. Accommodations are basically guesthouses. In my case, the accommodation costs are high on Booking.com, so I look for a guesthouse locally, so even if I make a reservation, it’s only for the first day.

Information gathering

Since Laos on my journey history, I have been using Japan’s most famous and historic guidebook called “地球の歩き方” such as “Lonely Planet”. I like that you can learn not only tourist information but also history and culture.

You can rest assured that the guidebook has been revised based on past experience. Basically, please bring a paper guidebook. This is because you can open it and check it quickly. Online books can be dangerous if opened outside. The disadvantage is also that it is difficult to understand what is written where.

We also do not recommend referring to other people’s blogs. It’s just one person’s opinion. It’s a waste to be confused by uncertain information. Basically, we act based on guidebooks and local information. You can use it if you run into a problem while you’re out and about, or search for it as part of the answer when you get home.
