To reduce the risk of being stolen & enjoy your trip to the fullest.

It started when I traveled alone to Australia for the first time.
Considering that smartphones are not likely to be used during the day when considering belongings, smartphones are touched only in the morning and night. In that case, even if you carried it around during the day and lost it, I would not notice it until the evening. If I am going to worry about it locally, I think let’s stop bringing it !

I want to reduce the risk of being stolen and acquire a sense of local prices

Based on the sweet idea that credit cards cannot be used overseas, let’s stop bringing them. That’s what I decided to do.
I also thought that cash would be the best way to get a sense of local prices.

I don’t know if i’m in any troubles

The reason is that I never took it with me. However, it is not hard to imagine that if you have a smartphone, you will probably be able to look it up on your smartphone when you have a problem. I don’t think it’s funny.

Also, watching videos, blogs, various HPs, etc. will touch useless information. It’s not funny either.

I choose the country that I am most interested in at that time.

Spread out the world map and search for places you’ve never been or places you’d like to visit. That’s what it feels like.
Actually go to the place you want to go → the country’s public order and safety condition → whether visa is available and how easy it is to get a visa.

Most of the countries I’ve been to.

It is “Senegal” which went to the end

Everyone was too kind. There may have been the unexpectedness of Islam x Africa.

Sri Lankan curry and rice

Also, churros with milk sauce from Cuba, churros from Mexico.

South African crocodile

The meat was too tough and tasteless, not tasty at all.

It’s currently answer is “South Africa”.

I was walking normally, and I was scared that the general locals was paying attention. Well, overseas nights and early mornings are basically dangerous everywhere.

Dangerous of my life is not so much

The following are examples of dangerous, if not life-threatening, cases.

Rwanda … When I was walking, I ended up in a small town. It was already evening when I left here, and on the way back it was pitch black and I couldn’t find my way home. In the end, on my way home, I met a woman who was an English teacher, and I got help from her.

Senegal … When I landed in a completely unknown town because I made a mistake in choosing the long-distance bus. I was able to return to Dakar on a day trip.

South Africa … Running out of drinks on the way to the Cape of Good Hope after walking from the nearest train station. At that time, I didn’t know that it was actually 20km from there to my destination, and that there were no shops or restaurants along the way. As I kept walking, the postman picked me up and sent me by car.

Save Money & Interact with Travelers

As a premise, we set a limit of money, one trip: 250,000 yen or less per country including airfare.
In that case, the fixed expenses that correspond to the rent must be lowered, so around 10 dollars per night is a guideline, so I’m aiming to stay here. So basically I stay at a hostel with a guesthouse/dormitory.
Now I can’t think of anything other than Dmitry. Conversation between travelers is also an interesting part of traveling.

I can’t speak English fluently.

The English used for each scene is limited, so I’m already used to it. I think the situations where English is really needed are when you touch on deep content in personal conversations or when you are in trouble.

To put it the other way around, I think that the active behavior of “experiencing English” is important as a trigger to study English. When learning English, I recommend traveling abroad as it will stimulate you.

Other than the purchase of air tickets, I think and decide locally

Basically, all you have to do is buy a round-trip ticket (by Skyscanner) and book the first night’s lodging according to the country. I try not to decide anything about places I want to see, places to stay, and places I want to go before I leave Japan.
*I only noticed the Sagrada Familia after I went to Barcelona. I should also add that when I went to Rome, I expected the Leaning Tower of Pisa to be nearby.

I don’t understand how mileage work

I go abroad about three times a year, and each time I go to a different country and with a different airline. In that case, the reality is that there are many cases where airlines belong to airline alliances and the organizations they belong to are different. As a result, I often couldn’t accumulate miles, which is why I quit.

However, in 2020, I became an ANA MILEAGE CLUB Platinum (Super Flyers member, Star Alliance silver status). I have not received any benefits, so I would like to receive it someday.

I choose the country that best interests me at that time.

When I talked to my friends after back to Japan, he said, ‘Where is the country?” It is more interesting for me to talk about countries that many Japanese people have never been to.
So, instead of choosing a country based on tourist spots and attractions, I try to choose countries where I can’t imagine the local situation when I hear the name of the country.

What you want to do should be done now.

What kind of life do you want to live?
・What is the purpose of your work?
・What is work in life?
・What is work in life?
I think that answers the question.

If you continue to take 2weeks vacation, you will often find useful scenes later, such as becoming a character with contact with overseas, so it is recommended.
In another example, there was a case of going on a weekend trip from Friday night to Saturday and Sunday.

I often see people who want to travel around the world when they retire, or quit their jobs and want to travel around the world. Personally, I think the price you pay is too high. If you don’t have a guarantee of living until old age, you shouldn’t have the sensitivity you have now. Also, if you quit your company, you should be worried about your life after returning.

It depends on the definition of round the world, but I think I’d already traveled around the world.

I have been to 31 countries so far, and the distribution is scattered all over the world, so I can say that I have been able to travel around various countries.

If circumnavigation of the world means traveling to different countries in one trip, there is a possibility that I will do it for other reasons than just traveling, but I have never done it before. I can’t think of where.

In the past, I was curious about the definition of “around the world”, so I actually asked people around the world about it, but everyone had different opinions*. I don’t have any qualifications or certificates, so it’s natural, but my conclusion is that you should think about the definition yourself.

– Traveling around the world by drawing a line between the countries you have visited, visiting more than a certain number of countries (10-40 countries), more than one continent or region, etc.

My immediate answer is Oman.

I consider that difficult for traveling is that it is not a country that is pro-Japanese, it is not famous as a tourist spot, which means foreigners are rare, and the culture is rare. I also think that this is a country that has everything in place.

Anyway, Oman was tough. Obscene acts in taxis, buses that do not stop, excessively high room rates, excessively hot temperatures, and lackluster town on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays), I experienced the differences from other countries.
